How to choose your Starting Finger:

As you can see in thise video, we start with #5 finger on G because the notes after G moves down the piano, and with #5 on G, the rest of your fingers can then be used.  Test: Start with #3 and see what happens.

Important learning points in this video:

1. "Reach with your Thumb" when there is a big reach and don't need fingers to continue to play past the thumb.

2.  There are no finger changes on the last section because of good fingering placement prior to that section.

3. Always strive for staying in position for as long as possible.

4. Looking a measure ahead is important for choosing fingering that will work.

5. You might have to back up a few measures to feel how your fingers flow to determine the best fingering going forward.   Sometimes that requires changing the fingering you originally chose.

6. Always use the same fingering you used earlier in the song when you have a repeat melody later in the song.:
